Communication in the present world has grown in leaps and bounds. There was a time when the telephone was the sole means of communication for people separated by great distances. People had to rely on these devices to talk to their loved ones or business associates immediately. But the advent of the internet paved new ways for digital communication and eventually a new system emerged that changed the way people talked to each other. VoIP, or Voice over Internet Protocol, lets people talk to each other simultaneously just like what telephones have done for us. The only difference here is that it uses the internet as its mode of communication unlike regular phones that use phone wires. But despite its innovativeness this system, just like any other technical system, has its pros and cons and in this article we will tackle the advantages of VoIP as well as its disadvantages.
