Until recently, it was not very difficult to get listed on the search engines. The important steps were to create and design a website, get a few META tags added to the HTML of the header and section and then look for links that one could use to access other sites. This was all that was required to get ranked favourably in search engines. Reciprocal links, especially those that included many incoming links were used by Google to get listed in the top pages of search engine results or SERPs. Continue reading
