I looked and have yet to find a government link. So please help me out. The only thing close is attendance to religious based programs. Yet anyone can attend regardless of their religious affiliation. It is against the law to say that you can’t attend.
One atheist site “atheist empire” pointed out that .209% statistics, yet when you look at there source it doesn’t lead you to the actual government link, but from someone who C&P a section from “their (prison)computers. Then I noticed that a statistic analyist (no longer employed) reported these statistics. When you google her name, I noticed that in this site the statistics are different:

Also notice how Buddhism is seperated from the .209%? Aren’t they atheist? Plus no quoted statistic has posted the exact question asked to prisoners.

Plus how can anyone be sure that a person isn’t just putting down the religious affilation of their parents, sort of as a “parental or society approval” move. Some atheists have a church wedding because of their parents.

“What religion were you brought up in?”
“What religion are you affiliated with?” (This could be cultural or parental or personal)
“Do you believe in God?” (Just because someone identifies with a religion doesn’t mean that they believe in God or gods).
